Muri-Gries Monastery
Three Centuries of Nativity Art
History, art, and living tradition converge in the Romanesque tower of the former Gries castle complex, now part of the Benedictine Abbey of Muri-Gries. The Nativity Scene Museum invites you to rediscover the Christmas message through exquisitely crafted scenes. Historic rooms and lovingly crafted figures create a tranquil atmosphere that encourages a sense of wonder and quiet reflection.
